Celestte’s paintings are works of great emotion and intensity, expressed by the bright colors, energy, and high saturation. They are completely unplanned; inspired by the colors, the technique, and emotion. The paintings evolve over a period, anywhere from a couple days to several months. She’ll often have five or six in progress going from one to the next with a certain color to add what the painting is calling for. They may go through several iterations before the expression on the canvas is complete.

The paintings shown are all done on canvas, using a variety of acrylic and oil. The paint is applied using brushes to spread, flick, and drip the paint to create desired affect.
